Last night, I was laying in bed and I felt like I was floating up FAST!

I knew I wasn't because I was opening my eyes but its was crazy. so I rolled on my side and I still felt that way.


I get that feeling even when I am not in bed, when I am sitting at my computer or watching t.v.

last night, I told my fiance and he jokingly pull him arm over me and said," there now you won't go anywhere."

Does anyone else feel like they are floating? I noticed it happen more with my meds.

The first time I had that hallucination I was running a high fever with a kidney infection. I was sleeping in the same bed as my grandmother and I was only 7 or 8 years old. I kept asking her to hold me down so I wouldn't float away.

I guess it could be different and from meds, but it sounds like hallucinations that I have sometimes. You might try checking your temperature next time to be sure you aren't getting a fever. I think some meds can cause fever. Regardless I would consult your pdoc about it.

I'd get a physical to check your blood pressure. And your ears.

What meds are you on?

Also acuriousfish might be onto something. Your balance is centered in your ears and if that gets messed up you can get really out of whack. The same thing happened to my mom about a year ago.

Yes . I get the feeling I'm floating . some times I will be talking to some one and I swear I left my body and am floating over head and watching this conversation I am having. when I lay in bed I feel like I float up too.

I am scared. Could I be Hallucinaling, my uncle gets them and he is bipolar, when I was younger I would see lights, like specks of like in the air and flashes when i was on celexa and topamax. So that, to too.

I am on Topamax and Lamictal.

Oceanbreeze, that happens to me too.

I am to scare to tell my doctor, I don't know more wrong with me.

I will call my Dr, monday and get an appt and see if she can get me in and chk it out. I just don't want it to b another crazy to be added to a list of my crazy.

Please don't be scared just tell your DR for proper DX. For me I think it is a disassociation , depersonalization thing.not feeling real. It's a feeling of leaving my body and watching from afar.

Your not taking any antiboiotics are you? I will ocasionally get a really dizzy whoosh feeling or like im walking on air when I'm on them.

otherwise are you taking a lot of ibprofen, asprin, or sudafed anything like that? A lot of herbs can interfere too, supplements can interact. This may sound nuts but I had to stop drinking certain teas with my topamax because I felt like I was walking on air at times, no sense of balance. Now I stick to coffee.

I usually have the opposite one, falling...I think my heart skips a beat or two. Scares the shit out of me.

No pills except 100 mg of topamax and 25mg of lamictal

No tea's either just my coffee. I may mention it to the dr, I just dont want more problems then I need, its been happening for years, just not as much. Even off meds it happens. It just been happening alot more lately and more intense.

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
