Fire, Fire Everywhere

Here in Oregon there are a bunch of wild fires.  They are a lot closer than they have been.  I look out the window and a yellow haze everywhere.  There have been many evacuations.


We used to only hear of wild fires in Eastern Oregon or Southern Or around Medford.  Now they are in the County I live in.  There in the rural areas and I live in the Urban Part.


I don't know how much more I can take.  My anxieties are through the roof so I took one of my Lorazepam.

Hey, your guys' smoke has landed up here in the lower mainland of BC :-). Be careful of your self talk – say you will be fine. You will be safe. They will give an evacuation order if needed. Deep breathe and stay distracted. Avoid the news. Best wishes XO

Hugs to you. I have been staying tuned to the situations and from friends affected. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Stay safe and find a moment of calm where you can. Headphones and soothing music help me in a pinch. Nothing wrong with an anxiety medication in these times.

I hear you Jenn, I'm in California and it's pretty bad here....

The air was so full of smoke today that the street lights came on at noon!

I feel all that your feeling...be well my friend who knows where this will lead...

Sorry the West coast is burning. California is such a pretty place. I wish they can come up with a solution to the fires every year. I guess its climate change.

When everything slowed down because of the pandemic, I thought how good it must be to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. With all the cars off the roads and businesses and industries closed, our planet had a chance. But after co-vid, it looks like the world wants to go back to business as usual. They even want my husband to go back to work with more than an hour drive there and another hour back when he can easily just work from home and save the environment. I don't get it…

Sorry you are anxious and fearful. Apart from the humans suffering another tragedy is the animals pain and starvation. Very sad.

I am in the interior of B.C. and our smoke is 10+. We only have 3 fires in the whole province. This smoke is coming from the US. This is not fire season, at least in Oregon and Washington. These are arson fires. They are destroying the environment, by burning large tracts of forest, animals, and killing people. It's so sad!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
