I got a referral to see a nurse practitioner about my meds. I also have an appointment with a therapist. I'm hoping that things will get better.

i went to county mental health for 10 years before I got Medicare and went on private care.

Community mental health is a step in the right direction and can really help, especially to get medication management. I am so thankful to those clinics.

Well the actual CMH won't take me because their resources are so limited. But there is a health clinic they work with in the same building. So that is how I will see the NP. the NP will be able to work with. CMH 's psychiatrists, though, if they need an opinion. The therapy part of it will be at an outside place that CMH referred me too. So, even though I don't qualify for actual CMH services, they were still able to refer me elsewhere. There is a TOTAL shortage of mental health providers where I live. It is really quite scary, actually...
