Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. I have been complaind about extreme fatigue for a long time know. When I talk to the dr., they say it's stress. True I suffer from a lot of stress but I have all my life. I had engery when I went through stressful periods before. This is different. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years ago caused by taking lithiumn. Even after treatment I didn't feel much better. I did the best I could but now the fatigue has become worse. I didn't some research and I found that Hashimoto's(not sure of spelling) could also be cause by lithium use. It's an autoimmune disease so I wouldn't be treated the same as hypothyroidism.
This could explain why I still feel so run down. One problem could be is that what if my doctor won't listen to me. During this time of Covid-19 it's pretty much get them in. Get them out if it's anything other that Covid-19. I don't want to suffer like this forever. I'm not saying I definately have Hashimoto's thyroid. I just want to find what is making me feel bad so we can treat it.
I'm sure many of you experienced this.

I have Hashimoto's, and there isn't any other treatment for it, besides hormone replacement therapy, same as Hypothyroidism. The only other thing is you have to keep down your Iodine intake, but that's pretty normal for most people.
Its not the kind of Autoimmune Disease that your thinking of, it has very limited symptoms and very limited treatments.
Kat I do take Levothyroxine 75mg. I do have blood test twice a year. Thank you for the information.
I recently had imagining done and my thyroid is smaller on one side, could have been congenital or it’s caused from hashimotos autoimmune attacking the organ. Sometimes I feel very subtle flaring in my neck, it’s weird.
I wouldn’t say that when my dosages have increased that I instantly feel mentally better, like that depression leaves, but perhaps my overall energy feels better physically.
Hope you start to see improvements.
