Tats, I think you are already doing what you need to. Sometimes we just have to "go with it" until it lifts. Keeping busy with things you can do and finding ways to occupy your mind and relax yourself will keep you from dwelling on the "not so good" thoughts.

I can relate right now how difficult it is but we are always a work in progress. At least you won't feel like you didn't accomplish anything today and you will have awesome cookies and pot pie to eat. I am sure your son appreciates that and you are showing him that your are a fighter. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight....xo

Sometimes, tats, the answers are no where to be found. You're looking everywhere, where the frak are the answers? I've been there, too, and it feels so badly to be so miserable and have nothing to reach for to stop the pain. Please, don't do anything rash. It is so difficult to believe this, but you will get past this pain. It will likely take some time and that sucks, but thoughts of suicide aren't going to help you in the least. This is hard to hear, too, but get as close to being physically comfortable as you can, relax, take some deep breaths, and remember that despite this pain your life is good, maybe not close to what you want, but you have the roof, food, and 2 boys. Relish in their smiles and their mischief, take it in and enjoy it to the best of your abilities. Deep breath, tats, that's it. Peace out.

Just get so tired ya know....I was doing so good for so long and I knew with the energy shift I was feeling that something was changing and not for the better. My son is looking forward to the potpie and has been eating cookies all day....I love him so much I feel bad that he has me for a mom though.....I feel like I do him harm with the mood shifts though I try to keep to myself when they hit. He sees me cry though I try to hide the best that I can.

Try journaling your feelings - it really helps release them. Go for a walk outside if you are able, get the blood moving to the brain to scour away all the bad, miserable and unhappy thoughts.

Do something nice for someone anonymously. Sometimes, being distracted (cookies etc) is a good recipe. Sometimes you need the full buffet.

Hugs and remember, Christmas can come with its own set of emotional issues.

3 servings cold oats, 2 serv. frozen raspberries, and 1 serv. corn flakes all mixed together. It's very good, but it's no potpie. It's been years since I've had even a frozen potpie. Damn, that sounds good:) .

I'm sorry about the pain; I guess only meds can help with that.

I'm trying.....I was doing sooo good for so long and now this...what a bummer. Thinking about Christmas dinner makes me cringe and I want to cancel it......just something else that I have to PUSH through and I am tired of pushing.......want to climb into bed, pull the covers over my head and stay there till winter is over......the bears get away with it why can't we......*chuckle*

Well I do have a glider rocker that is pretty comfy but just don't sit still very well, I like to be up and doing things......my entire family is like this!

Someone pointed out to me that this may be depression from the pain I am having and I think she may be dead on.....I don't deal well with pain and I have been stable for some time now......and the more I think about it the more I can see where my mood began to decline when the pain lit a fire under my arse and just has not let up any.....I mean to break thru my pain med it's gotta be pretty darned bad pain. Calling the pain doc on monday to see what she can do for me......it's gotta be a nasty case of arthritis.

Are you having a colicky pain in your hip/abdomen area? It feels like a slow burn and like someone is turning up volume ( where it gets very pronounced and then down the volume where it lets up).

The reason I am asking is because I had this type of pain just about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. I thought it was odd and not natural feeling. Then the next day it was the same pattern so I went to the ER. I felt weird going but I went because I knew it was an unfamiliar pain..almost like a labor pain. Ended up I had a small kidney stone and I was glad I went in. They didn't have to give me anything or do any procedures to break up the stone but they did confirm that the little stone was causing pain everytime it moved down my urerter. I ended up taking 800mg iubprofin and resting and it passed without me feeling it.

I cannot by anyway diagnose what is causing your pain but I am just saying that if your feeling like this maybe you can get in to see a doctor.

No, it's all in the hip, I think it's arthritis, I had osteoarthritis in my hand and had to have a bone removed back on 2009.....ugh!
