Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
yea me too sweetie.
My Mom is still alive, but is suffering from dementia.
She still knows my sister and I, but I can't help thinking back to past Christmases when Mom used to love to decorate and bake loads of cookies.
That is all gone now, and I think it's natural to miss those good times .

grief is so difficult...even moreso for those with MI
Lost both of my parents already...years ago...and the holidays still can make me blue.
Make a small tribute to your mom if you can...a letter...a cake she made...or get a nice frame for a photo of her...even volunteer if you are able.
I know it sounds small...but it cements the good and the love that was there for you that she offered and gave to you so freely.
((((((((((((hugs)))))))))
I am so very sorry that you are feeling so lonely.....I know missing someone you love is very hard but you mentioned thinking of the good memories and that is key in making yourself feel better kittycat. I feel it is anyway. Maybe write a letter and get some of you thoughts and feelings out onto paper can help a bit too.....sending good thoughts your way for peace. ox
If it is any comfort to you, if I had my way I would skip the holidays also this year.
