Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I started the med switch last night. I know the changes don't take place overnight. I feel so terrible now. I'm deeply and scared. I'm planing on going to the beach for a couple nights with my son. we will leave Sunday and return Tuesday. I thought a change in scenery would help us destress. The rates are very low now so a room didn't cost much.
I'm just so scared of many things right now. That's what happens when I go into depression. I'm scared of ending up homeless, losing all my money, something bad happening to my son, etc.
You cam probably tell that I'm a wreck. If you don't mind, tell about how you got through depression.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

While I wait for the right meds, I usually use light therapy to help treat my depression as well as some CBT and DBT. I hope you feel better soon!
I hope you’ll have a good time away at the beach!
Hubs and I went on vacation a few years ago. I cried the first 2 hours on the road. After that, things went okay. Just had to get out of my system, I guess.
I also have been homeless - twice. It's survivable. I don't recommend it, but it could have been worse. I also have a loveseat & a recliner for you & the boy if it ever comes down to it. I will keep you fed & sheltered til you can find your footing. Certainly wouldn't be the first homeless person to have a hot meal under my roof. :)
I would try NOT to put all of your worries into one big melting pot.... It's too overwhelming and no one can handle that but you can handle the next hour or few minutes
There are a lot of grounding techniques on google that can help.... Maybe pick up a colouring book tomorrow and some crayons.... That can help with anxiety
I don't know if you've ever been into Cognitive therapy but it could help you or a Cognitive group to help with anxiety...... Big hug.....xo
