I spent today traveling a total of 7 hours with dad. We traveled downstate to meet my sister, nieces and my great nephew. My great nephew is 3 months old and today is the first time i have met him. He is so precious!!!
Today was hard for me because holding my sweeet nephew made me think about what i missed out on (i had cancer in 2007 and had to have a hysterectomy....and had not had any children yet) . I cradled that sweet baby in my arms and he looked up at me and smiled and my heart just melted and I felt an overwhelming sense of sadness.
The other reason today was hard was bcuz ihad to spend six hours in the car with my dad. He is a very mean, cold and judgmental person. He has put me down and hurt my feelings about my weight, my financial situation. And to top it off, he treats my sister soooo much nicer than me because SHE has a great job, etc...
I am just feeling very sad tonight...ty so much for listening to me

I feel your sadness , over not being able to experience having a child . Could you adopt at some time ?

This is the dialectical. Holding opposite feelings in a tense balance at the same time. It takes strength and awareness that develops over time if you work it.
oh...my daddy could be mean to...yep, I never was good enough or tried hard enough....yet I loved him so much.
Keep remembering the sweet love of that baby. The Irish say you can tell a tiny baby anything...they will hold your secret, give you unconditional love, wisdom and strength. Doesn't have to be yours either.
