Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Ever dream your spouse/bf/gf was cheating or leavin? And wake up with that horrible sence of being alone?
I know I do.
I think my emotions are to powerfull to just evaporate with the morning sun, even if I forget what I dreamt about.
Might sound fruity... but thats what I know about myself.
It probably doesn't help I have anxiety problems. I just feel like I'm flipping out.
Does this madness ever end?
I was recently diagnosed and for the last few months it's been like a rollercoaster that I just want off of. I don't feel "normal" anymore and for a couple of months just feel stoned all the time. I'm sick of it.
You'll probably feel like a lab rat,if you go through a lot of med changes(I went through 8 meds in the first year!)...EVENTUALLY,things will hopefully even out.
But you must be patient, and trust that your Pdoc is wanting to find the right med for you...and that he/she ,will work with you,to bring you back to a more stable place.
It's not easy, and your fears and crying are quite natural.....just hang in there, and give the meds a chance to start working(sometimes it takes a few weeks).
If you continue to feel bad, bring it up to your Pdoc.....the meds we take will not "cure" us,but the meds can make your life more livable...
best of luck
Talking to other people who are not Bipolar, they too experience similar feelings, so I reckon it is only natural.
We can't be fully functioning all the time, or else we would not be human.
I just have to try to continue to ride it out.
