And yes, I have also witnessed that morphing you are talking about.

Yes, DoorMAwws, it feels uncomfortable and can be quite frightening seeing one's face twist into anger and some amount of ugliness. I feel and hear the anger too. But I don't fear being attacked. It's as though something is being brought to the surface in sight and sound that they aren't actually intentionally expressing. Very, very strange. And when my husband has been with me a couple of times, he sees nothing.

it sounds like psychosis to me.

i've had morphs and shadows and tracers, but only if i'm sick. otherwise everyones just a big glowing ball of goo.

I asked my Pdoc once, if seeing all this stuff since childhood, could that have meant I had been psychotic all those years ?

He didn't have an answer for me.

I have trouble disguising my emotions which i think is a good thing...i can feel my own expressions change as well as see others when their expressions change...it could be a microexpression, but i still see it. Id say its a testament to you perceptive abilities. Congrats, you have a skill that many seek to advance. I make angry faces at people when i perceive they are being superficial or not genuine.

I know exactly what you're talking about and I know it's a hallucination b/c people around me aren't freaking out like I would if I let it out. The morphing drives me crazy - I just look away and hope when I look back it will be gone. It doesn't make me angry, it makes me scared - the faces are angry/twisted. I don't know, like dd said, if the faces represent anything except my twisted mind, at times. And yes, my pdoc does know about it and told me it's a symptom of schizoaffective disorder. Gives me the willies!

I will hallucinate that people's heads are turned towards me when they are not. Now THAT is scary. I know this now to be psychosis and so I glance and my brain registers their head as not looking at me. It reminds me though of "The Exorcist." This has been going on from the time I was little. No antipsychotic prevents it.

I find that spotting the psychosis when it happens greatly reduces reaction.
