Let me preface this by saying you all know Rocket is the best part of my world. I love him more than life itself.


I am in a Facebook group for Pitbulls. Last night I made a post asking about feeding him late at night because when I work he is in his crate and doesn't always eat while I am gone. Well in the post I shared a picture of him and he happened to be wearing a prong collar. The responses ranged from "crates are inhumane" to "take off that ridicualous collar" to "you obviously dont love him". And I am so MAD! Prongs and crates are fabulous training tools when used responsibly.


Why are strangers so mean and hateful?! Y'all know Rocket is my world. I jsut want to do right by him :( And crating him when I am not home is for his own safety. I dont have to explain myself to complete strangers :(

I think a lot of people have strong thoughts on things like prong collars or shock collars

Crates are like their bedroom..... Their safe place

You don't have to explain yourself sweetie ...

I personally think that they would hurt so I'm guessing that's what people are reacting to

Btw I think some people like to fight online and look for reasons to do so

I watch different things on youtube and I can't believe some of the comments people make

The prong puts some pressure on his neck when he pulls so he doesn’t pull when it’s on. I would never do anything to hurt my baby and I thought long and hard about using a prong on him and when I did choose to use it I did so under the guidance of a trainer

What do you do with someone bi-polar making bad decisions, has lost close to $50,000 and is now in jail. But these were largely his decisions and he seems happy fighting for a cause (it's too complicated to explain here, and few people are impressed by the cause). Just keep letting him be self-destructive, a couple of people have tried to talk with him without success.

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
