I just wanted to put it out there that I never had "floaters" until I started Lithium and know that I'm off of it I don't have them anymore. :)

They are little dots you see floating in your vision.
It's usually a sign of some medical issue, but I forget what.

I had floaters really bad on Lithium..like leaves floating by ...lots of leaves.
Since I stopped Lithium,the floaters have not been as bad ,I still have them,but just not as bad

I've always had floaters, before and with lithium. They don't bother me. It would be interesting if someone searched the data
but I suspect this is more related to individuals and not lithium per se and if floaters are associated with other meds.

I started developing floaters and losing some eye sight in my right eye from Abilify. As soon as I went off of it, my vision has somewhat improved. I am still consulting with an opthamologist for my eye difficulties.

I had mild floaters in L eye and after Lithium I now have in my R eye as well. Mine are more like a black piece of lint or a squiggly eyelash.

I got floaters long before lithium, in my early 30's. The doc said I had a rather large spider, nothing to be done about it.

I also have cataracts, but I think that is old age, and prednisone. However, nothing would surprise me as a side effect from anti-psychotics.
