I worry alot but most days I am busy with my crafting and am real good at pushing the worries away but hell come night time I am wreck...sigh. I do pretty good all day long but when I lie down to go to bed in come the worry thoughts!
I had a recent stroke in the back of my eye due to high blood pressure and have been to the docs and they are trying to get it under control with blood pressure meds and me, I started Weight Watchers to get my weight down in hopes of lowering the blood pressure. I worry about losing the sight in my eye, I worry about my weight though I am doing really well with counting points. I have no ambition to exercise though and have to find some and fast. I don't like to sweat unless i am actually accomplishing work..like in the yard or something. I know weird but true!
Anyway......Mom got me this book that I need to start reading called "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, It's All Small Stuff". Is an easy read and I recommend it to anyone who tends to worry like I do. The author is Richard Carlson, if anyone is interested.
I'm just posting for some support here because I am such a worry wart, have been since before Kindergarten so it's tough for me NOT to worry about something....it's ALWAYS something and I know only I can make it stop. Alot easier said than done as with most things.
What do you guys do to help yourselves not worry so damn much??
OK now to pick up this book of mine and start reading it and wait for some responses here.....thanks to everyone!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I have to replace the thoughts with something else or they go around and round..
So I usually read after taking my night meds until I get sleepy.. If I can't fall asleep I'll watch a program or come on here for a while..
Some people meditate to try and calm their mind and I know it helps a lot of people... I have trouble staying in a meditative state..
Sometimes I pray
Great big hug for you sweetie...xo
All I can say is klonapin.......j/k only if your pdoc advises it really. I find I talk to myself through every battle (its what I call my what ifs) If its getting dressed I check the predicted weather then some times I can put out only 3 outfits and try them all on then take them off then tell myself to pick one.....when Im at 0 hour and have to leave or be late I pick one.......i hate being late more then i hate not being dressed properly. that's part of my insanity. I do crafts also and I spend a stupid amount of time playing on line games and I have a fantastic therapist who works with me on the anxiety part. Its so not easy and I hope the book helps. stay strong i know you can get past this.
