Perhaps that is how you are the creative person you in fact ARE? to be a little off balance - I think it is hard to know what is the medication, and what is off balance in our bodies anyway....accepting ourselves as we are comes with time - and it will with you - you will just think 'well, that is just ME, at the moment, and thats ok...!'....hugs Cathrynn X

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time when I was having so much fun in my twenties. People always called me. I was always invited to parties, had lots of friends. Now I feel all alone most of the time. The two friends I have now live too far away to have that one on one support I need, and my bro lives in another state as well. Everything is done over the phone as far as support. But I miss who I was and wonder constantly (I should say worry) about who I am and where I'll end up. I hear ya. I dont know who I am either. Seems the minute I disclose BP everyone runs for the hills. That makes me sad.

I just try and slow down and sit calmly and remind myself that I am and always will be me. I have always had the condition of bipolar but that is not who i am, rather it is what I have . I have an addictive personality, it doesn't mean I am a bad person, it means I need to be aware of it and help myself. Balance comes with time,I always hated when anyone said that to me but it is true. You are finding your way right now by asking the questions.

Yes. I am no longer myself and I am use to it. when i was a kid I could do anything. If I was put in a class to learn something I mastered it even with no interest in what i was doing. I love horses and I was on my way to becoming an olypic rider . Its the only thing I ever have braged about my whole life. I was good at it and I loved it. Its who I was. I havnt been able to ride a horse for years. I have lost myself and become a Zombie

I think and hope when you find the right combination of meds and are stable, you can know who you are.

I'm still trying to figure out who I am.

I am all things, and yet nothing, because I change so often, both in what I like, and want. It's all so confusing at times and it can be hard to keep up and wonder how much others notice the changes.

I feel I habe been BP since second grade dx at 28. I have no idea who I am. I suppose pp will all say good things at my funeral and there will be thousands knocking down the door to get in.

Other then that it is a jumble. I never know if I am making a good or bad decision, spending money well, saything the right things to pp etc etc. It is all a crap shoot.

I have the same problem. I can't forget who I used to be. And I can't execpt who I think I might be now. My mood changes so much. I'm not sure who I am.

We all change, that's natural..am still me though.
I have forgotten where I live (& had lived for 5 years) when Manic. Was standing in my street utterly confused & lost.

sometimes we seem to think ourselves into a tangle!! try going somewhere that makes you think of nothing, like themiddle of a field, lake, woods the peoblems seem to sort themseelves then x
