emotional rollercoaster in hyperdrive

Hey all, I'm going through some thimgs right now and my emotions are all over the place. In the last ten minutes I've gone from feeling like nothing can hurt me to being pi**ed off to being sad. This is happening several times a day. 3 to 4 times a week if not more.

Does this happen to anybody else? How often do you cycle through your emotions?

I'm on medication for BP. However, Pdoc is messing around with meds to find the right cocktail. I know I will feel better eventually but right now I would like to relate to others going through this.

This is happening to me a lot recently also. I see a t doc and a p doc and I'm starting to wonder if I don't have more of a mood disorder. Sorry I don't have much advice or answers. HUGS.

You are not alone. I have Bipolar 1 and my emotions are always all over the place. I can go from feeling super excited and happy, to numb and disappointed, to feeling suicidal, to having a lot of energy, and then being pissed off all within sometimes 20 minutes to an hour. Bipolar is a very exhausting illness but you just have to keep the energy to fight back and work at it everyday, sometimes even every hour.

This has happened to me consistently for about 5 years...I thought I was a nut case. My kids (29 and 25) actually call me "crazy lady". They do it lovingly..but there is a reason...because I do switch moods rather rapidly...my days are not all one mood or another (rarely).

And I was only recently diagnosed with Bipolar..and I was grateful to be diagnosed with something that was explainable...I thought I was schizophrenic or something worse.

Just hang in...they won't cure us...but they will find the medicine that makes us feel the best....THEN we have to take it! I have a problem taking the medicine as prescribed...which is why I suffer so much.
