Iv been controlling my mood with alcohol. I know it's not the answer but it stops the anxiety and shear angst iv been feeling of late.
Knowing that I'm going to have to stop this cycle does anyone have any suggestions to transfer from alcohol dependent to clean.
I drink because it stops the tears and give me a sense of control.

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

There are wayyyyy better ways to regulate mood than with a sloppy depressant like alcohol. If you have to hit a treatment center to do it safely, then that's always an option too.
Drinking on top of a high dose of an anti-psychotic and diazipam is a really dangerous thing to do.
I do like beer though. I like its taste and also the slight buzz I get. Takes the edge off. I try to limit my beer intake to certain times...weekends. Also maybe only three per setting. I could drink 6 per setting.
My cousin is rotting his liver out with alcohol. I feel bad for him. He does not even clean his house. So I know kinda first hand the evils of alcohol.
