Anybody have an experience with it? My pdoc wants me to try it for sleep. Trazodone is not working consistently for me anymore. I've read weight gain is a side effect.

My weight stayed the same but it works for sleep well but something I have to do is alternate between one sleep med and another sleep med every other night. I no longer take it but it did help for a while

I didn't do well because I didn't really sleep on it, and also I didn't tolerate it (I think it's like flexoril). You've taken another TCA, right? There is another TCA called trimipramine (Surmontil) that is used for sleep, and it is reported to create less sleep distortion. My pharmacy was able to special order it.

He gave me samples of 3mg pills. My boyfriends mom says she takes 100mg. I guess the lower dose is for insomnia. I won't take it until I clear it with my cardiologist. I've tried Elavil. I'm not sure if they are similar.
