I don't know if goals is the right word but it qualifies I guess.

Every day I make a list of things I need to get done. And there is always more that needs to be added.

But I'm very happy if I can cross off even a few things each day. I try to get as much done when I'm feeling good because I know that the crash will come when I can't do anything.

So do you make goals or a list or have some kind of plan for the day?

If so do you meet all of them or a few of them?

For me I use a white board to make my list. I love my white board because it is trash free. (less work). Ever since I bought the white board I find that I'm getting more things done then I use to since this way I have a big reminder slapping me in the face. I have trouble remembering and also staying focused and on task.

But I'd love to see how many people take advantage of planning and how many are more free style. Just doing every thing as it happens.

In all honesty you need to be able to do both. Make a plan but be flexible enough to make last minuet adjustments some times on the fly.

Even if the plan is in your mind only that is still a plan.

I am a total list person !! Everything is on a list and it always gives me something to aim for . I need this more so now that I do not work . I need the routine and structure that a list brings. There are always things that throw the best laid plans astray and I have learned to adapt but naturally I am a planner even if its only in my head . Things are planned out in advance and my lists as my lifesaver . I never mind if I don't complete the list ( although I always strive to ) as the tasks leftover can be added to tomorrows list :-)

My goal on DS is to stop say inappropriate things. I do it all the time and at the wrong time. I have no social graces. So I am a little better

I used to be a big list maker. I'd write everything down that I needed to accomplish and cross off whatever I actually did. I never got all the way through the list since there's always more to add. But I took pride in all the things I did accomplish.

Right now, I'm completely focused on my treatment. I SHOULD start making lists again. Thanks for the reminder!!

I think the older I have gotten, the more I realize that my life won't last forever. Each day has to count. I make lists for the things I "need" to get done and the things I "want" to get done, or learn, or accomplish for me. Then there is a day I just need to "let it all go" and not worry about what I do or don't do. I need to just be. I avoid tv and spending too much time on the computer because it eats my time and eats my life away.

I thought a goal was some sort of a jail? Who would want to make a list of jails to be in?
