I was just listening to Kelly Clarkson's Dark Side and wondered if we all really do have a dark side. I know I do but is it a universal thing? Or are some people just plain good, others bad and some mixed? What do you guys think?

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Aside from bipolar, yes, I do have a darker side that sometimes wants to hurt people back who have hurt me or a loved one. But not in a terrible life altering way. Just wishing they could get a taste of the hurt they just caused. Sometimes wishing I could dish it out. I think that's a normal reaction.
When mixed episodes or highly irritable hypo manias or irritable depressions arrive, I sometimes want to cause some serious hurt in a few people's lives. I'm in an altered state--so not my normal self. Not to physically maim--that's still not me even in an altered state. But I want to cause some serious heartfelt and mental pain. I work hard to not carry it through.
I hate the thought of it. But there's the truth of it.
Taking a non judgemental stance helps to see it as it is instead of colored in a scary or negative way. Therapy has helped me do this and curious nature.
