I figured it would be the first time but it's depressing getting the letter in the mail. I have multiple conditions and at least 10 different doctors that filled out forms on my behalf. I don't know how people live without working if they don't have family. I'm thankful for my mom and my boyfriend helping me but I'm 43 and have no sense of independence after working for 25 years.

I'm scheduled to see my lawyer next week. Wish me luck.

It's normal to be denied the first time around. Don't give up. It took me 2 tries before I was approved.

I don't know much about disability but I wish you luck from the bottom of my heart - and also I think your family rock because they support you . This is hard to find these days .

You have MORE than enough evidence to prove you deserve disability! I think the second time around should do it. With you, your conditions and doctors' notes should usually be sufficient. I don't know why some people get turned down the first time, I didn't but I did call and ask why some people get turned down if they have the exact Dx's as me. I didn't get a very good answer. The SSA doesn't like being told that they may have done something wrong.

You will definitely get SSDI with a lawyer. Definitely. Then they pay you for the time between your denial and now. So you will get a big chunk of money. The lawyer will take his percentage, but hey you get to pay off your school loans (I did) and start over. I worked 13 years in private practice with a window corner office. Now I rely on SSDI and my mom to help me..Good luck!

I'm sorry you were denied but I agree with the others, you will get it the next go-around. Often it takes a lawyer to get their attention. I am currently waiting a decision and will probably be going through the same thing. Don't give up because I think that is what they want you to do and you deserve your benefits!

Iv"e been on disability since 2007.

Got denied when filed on my own,.

You have to get a lawyer. I used ALLSUP but you can use other disability lawyers and get it. Didn't have to do much, they handled most of the work

Get letters from all your docs that helps a lot
