Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
This time, the episode has lasted up to three weeks with no seeming end in sight although it always feels like that when I'm in a depressive episode. I feel completely drained. I've been barely eating and have stopped taking my medication for a couple days when I could not bring myself to get out of bed but now I am back on my medication and this is one of my better days. I feel so unmotivated and hopeless to do anything or practice self care when I feel so worthless. I want to stay strong and positive but I am finding it very difficult. I don't want to keep feeling this way, I don't want to have to keep wondering when my next episode is going to be. I feel so distressed for no real reason and I don't know how to talk about it or explain what I'm feeling or why I'm feeling it which is just plain frustarting. Could really use some encouragement or advice on how to deal with these intense lows. I have so much work to do but no energy or motivation to do it. I'm just tired and I don't know if I'm strong enough to keep going or even succeed that way that I want to in life. I feel bad for venting on here but I figure this is what the platform is for and I like the idea of support from people who go through it as well. I don't want to be a bother to anyone on here and I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over again so I'm sorry. Thank you to whoever took the time to read this. I hope it was not too much of a hassle and I'm sorry again.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

You are not bothering anyone, and I always enjoy talking with you.
I am not sure what to tell you. I tried to get onto a schedule and stick to it. Also, I walked a little bit each day. Getting sun on your face daily is positive. Playing with puppies is also something that would help.
Shoot me an IM if you want to talk offline.
For me it is easy to not stay in bed because I have to take care of my animals. If I stay in bed all day they will destroy the house so that is motivation for me to stay busy.
I have been at rock bottom, I know how it feels. I’m rooting for you!!
These times are tough and I think a lot of people have been struggling sweetie...
Venting is good.... I'm glad that you're here....xo
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. One of the things with depression is we feel more shame because sometimes we think are depressed " for no reason."
When I go through this (bipolar depression) I could win the lottery and still have depression. J. K. Rowling who wrote Harry Potter books, has depression ... the mental illness.. She always looks so sad to me. She has had success in her dream profession and is a millionaire I think ...
Anyway, do not add to the pain of the depression by beating yourself up because you don't know why you are feeling this way.
.
I like reading the other comments too.
I am thinking of you. I am happy that you shared with us.
Lots of love & hugs from Sanz
