carbamazapine.....lamicital.....even abilify

Trileptal, Lamictal, Topamax, Seroquel, Geodon, This new one out called Saphris (although I think in Europe it will be called something else.. I take it & so far so good it works on a lot of different receptors in your brain)

I take Geodon and it has worked so far for me. Depakote didn't do a thing for me.

Lamictal is the only I can handle and was on for four years, went off and am now back on at a much lower dose due to side effects that maybe other people would not have. Make sure you take a calcium supplement if you are put on it. Long term it was making my migraines worse. I think I got some tooth decay and enamel problems with it, and some cognitive problems. But my old pdoc is the one who said more patients like Lamictal because of what it does not do.

Sorry R,I have no suggestions..I went through a ton of meds before Depakote finally controlled my manic episodes......good luck.

ask your pdoc about Symbyax. It's kinda on the new side, and it's wicked expensive, but it works for me. Lamictal works great for my daughter. Blew me up like a baloon though.

I was similar dd, I tried lots of different combinations until we came up with this one, I'm just hoping I can find something else that works
