First of all hope I am putting this in right place for more to read. If not please let me know what I need to do. I have just gone through the most dramatic and difficult cycle I have ever had. Usually I am more depressed then manic so this episode has been hard. Just thankful I was aware of what was happening. 3 weeks ago was depressed with no feelings or enthusiasm for anything. Sleeping most of the time. Person hygiene extremely poor. Husband had to tell me to shower. After about 8 days I became manic with no sleep for 3 days. Out of control using credit cards and taking money out of acct, hyper sexual. All the symptoms. Usually when I get manic I just don't sleep but get too disorganized to do anything. I believe with this cycle out of control maybe I am due for a med change. Have been on effexor for over 10 years. Will be seeing doctors in 2 weeks so will see what needs to be done. Sorry to write so much just wanted someone to possibly know what I am talking about. Squeaker

You posted in just the right place, squeaker! I'm sorry you're cycling and it's so rough. Stay on DS and try to use us as a sounding board to help get you stable. It's all neurotransmitters and neuronal connections going haywire. It will pass, but it may take time. I'm here for you - and lots of other folks are, too! I hope you were able to rest last night! (((HUGS)))

That's sounds awful squeaker! I hope you're sleeping now. I wonder if two weeks will be too long? I lost my credit once! Be safe. (((Hugs)))

Oh Squeaker...I'm so sorry you are going through this. Good think you have a doc appt. in 2 weeks. Some people, including myself take Benadryl to come down a bit.
