Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

C talk to your doctor about dementia... I have some cognitive difficulties as well... Really bad at times but it's due to my meds...
I'm hugging you again... I'm sorry if someone seemed insensitive...Maybe she wants to help and doesn't know how do you think that's possible?....xo
My Gran uses crying as a weapon to get her way when arguing with me. It affects my boundaries.
Don't let the gossips deflect you.
So I know the horrors of watching someone go through the decline .
Everytime I have a memory glitch, I feel like .....OH GOD, it's happening to me !
I've talked to my Pdoc { who specializes in geriatric bipolar and dementia } ....he says my memory issues could be med related or early signs of dementia.
Seeing a Neurologist, get tested . at least you'll have some information under your belt, information is a lot better than living with the fear .
hugs
My husband once had it and I was convinced that he had the big A. It was super scary. Seeing a doctor can be reassuring I would hope.
There are also supplements for cognitive decline, if that is the case.
I have been dealing with the big F now for a few years! It is sad to lose a house and have to move. But you are not there yet. It can take months to years for a bank to force you out.
And I'm sorry your dad's health is suffering. ((hugs))
I just want to add as smarty pants reply for the lady at work.
"Of course I calm myself down! The straight jacket store was out of my size and I will have to wait 3 weeks before I can lose it completely."
((((hugs again))))) & hang in there.
Seeing a parent being sick is an awfully hard thing to deal with.
How do you relax? Is there someone that can watch your dad?
Ask doc/hospital if you can get Home Health Aid. It worked great when my mom had dementia. You need to find a way to mentally distance yourself from this problem. Even if you can spend some time alone for a few hours, out of the house.
As far as the gossipmonger goes, I would just ignore her. OR tell her to mind her own business. I don't think being polite w/some like that works.
