My friend Eric is pro-no-meds and he has seen me miserable in the situation i am in living at home. So last night he suggested I go work on a farm somewhere and be free of it all. He very quickly said he'd make some calls if I'd like.
So he did. There is a group of farmers headed to Arizona from VT sometime soon. I e-mailed them and asked if I could go with them. A dream!
My friend Matt said I'd be crazy to go off my medication and not to do it. But it's all I think about. I don't think I will rest until I am making efforts to be off of them. What to do what to do?

I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

If your asking for opinions.
Yes, if you go of meds you might be ok for a while. But then when (rather than if) you get your next episode wait will you do? Stoppings meds often triggers mania and it's harder to get under control when that happens.
oh, but then I'm a stupid man.
I know a few people who are med free and are more stable then I am. Its different person to person.
You need to make the decision yourself but be willing to go back onto the meds if you feel yourself spiraling out of control.
Its a tough decision, I wish you all the best with it!
deerma- it's not really a worker thing. it's like work for room and board. they are rainbow people.... they are all about peace and love. that sounds like an okay place to be. maybe
I think I read that something like 20% of BPs go up a level, ie BP2 to BP1.
You are young so you might seriously regret this in future.
deerma- for some reason I want to go where no one knows me at all.... no connections. I guess I don't think ahead very well.... but I seem to go blind into things often.
