I could use some hugs and good positive thoughts for what may not seem like not a big deal. I have to go get a mammogram today and I'm scared to death. Last year I almost passed out during it and ended up in the ER. I'm so scared the same thing is going to happen and my anxiety is through the roof. I've already cancelled 3 times and I'm 6 months overdue on getting it so I have to go.
My mom is taking me and I'm hoping they let her go back with me. They assured me on the phone they'd have 2 techs in the room with me in case something happens. I'm just so scared and nervous. I wish I had a prn to take. I just have such a fear of fainting. UGH.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I took my daughter yesterday for hers .
She was also anxious.
She was in and out in less than 15 minutes.
Yep, mamo's are scary, but needed.
Hope you feel better

Remember all your women sisters/friends here that go through this regularly, too, and that you are not alone.
I think thinking about these stressful medical things in terms of the actual caring people who are here to help has helped me feel less stressed out.
big (((((hugs)))))))
Hope it goes well!
But without PRNs you still have tools in your arsenal to survive this. Deep breathing, closing your eyes and pretending to be somewhere else, holding your mom's hand as you go through it.
You can do this! You will make it!
I know this shit is scary. I'm 39 and am going to have to start getting mammograms next year and I'm not looking forwards to it either. It is necessary though.
Try waking up a little bit earlier than you have to go and burning some incense, drinking some coffee and doing some nice chill yoga so you feel very centered and relaxed by the time you're actually in there.
