Could I be bipolar?

I suffer with depression, anxiety and panic attacks and my file says "non specified personality disorder". WTH does that mean? I have a lot of symptoms of the diagnosis of bipolar, but I'm just not sure. Help?

You're probably not going to get the feed-back you're looking for here. We're the last people to be able to say anything about another person's diagnosis... That's what doctors are for, it's what they do. The sick don't help the sick :P

BUT... it is a very friendly board. So talk away and say what ya wanna say... Just don't think anyone here has the ability to diagnose you with anything...

There's also a personality disorders board. But it's not nearly as much fun as this place. It's like the bounce-house of DS.

Alot of things look like bipolar to the untrained eye. That includes some of the personality disorders.

My suggestion is that you ask your doctor to explain their diagnosis and why they went for it rather than bipolar.

I can't remove posts.

The only way I can do that is to send it in to DS and ask them to manually edit it.

Unless you really feel it needs to be removed I'd prefer the DS admin spend their time on other stuff.

Sometimes there can be other things that are similar to bipolar like dysthymia or cyclothymia. i would do some research or talk to your doctor about you unspecified disorder. I hope this helps you. Also, if you dont have bipolar, please stay in this group. We like you,

    Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
