I am finding it really confusing because some of the meds some people are talking about I havnt heard of dont know if we have them here(AUSTRALIA) or maybe they just have different names here, any advice on how I can translate them so I can understand better? I have been on so many but when I read good reports on here about something I want to know to ask my doctor about it or if I have already tried it but under a different name
"Lamotrigine (marketed as Lamictal by GlaxoSmithKline, called Lamictin in South Africa) is an anticonvulsant drug used in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder. For epilepsy, it is used to treat partial seizures, primary and secondary tonic-clonic seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Lamotrigine also acts as a mood stabilizer. It is the only anticonvulsant mood stabilizer that treats the depressive as well as the manic phases of bipolar disorders"
