Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Sometimes I feel like I have an excess amount of emotions, while other times I feel like I completely lack them. I can feel no remorse one minute then pour my eyes out the next. I hate being this way. The people I love fear that I'm a sociopath but in reality I cry myself to sleep everynight. But they'd never know that, i have to much pride to ever admit that to anyone. I feel like I'm weak and pathetic. I don't want anyone to think I'm a sociopath but I don't want them to know how depressed I really am. I need help with expressing my emotions. I've seen doctors and therapists and it never works, id rather lie through my teeth than have someone think I'm crazy. I feel pathetic even writing this. I am a sad excuse for a human :(

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Hope you can get past that pathetic feel for sharing this. It is, indeed, easier to lie through your teeth than risk the stigma attached to your honest emotions, which only makes the courage of your honest revelation all the more awe inspiring. That honesty can also lead to honest solutions. Hope it is so for you.
Welcome aboard.
The only way to treat BiPolar successfully is medications and Therapy, the only way to successfully do Therapy is to foster a relationship with your Therapist built on honesty, if your not honest he/she can't help you. It boils down to how much you really want to get to a stable point and live a somewhat regular life....a Therapist will be able to help you, but you have to put the pride away and let them, to do that you have to be honest. There is no cure for this Disease, only treatment. Many people don't get that until they hit rock bottom and get tired of life kicking them in the face everyday....
I doubt your a sad excuse for a human, I'm sure your confused and not so trusting and lived through some rough times. If you let Dr.'s that know how to treat BiPolar help you, you can have a better life, you have to get to a point where you want it bad enough and are willing to put the work in, because I won't lie it's work....every single day.
Take care,
Have you been diagnosed? If not talk to a doctor - if you are, are you on meds? Even if you are on meds it's worth talking to your doctor to see if a med tweak helps.
