I tried allsup,well i say i did , but i chickened out. Had my papers all together and such......but felt doi really need this. I said yes my husband have been paying together for 34 years......... so i may try again, i guess it will be ssi, not disability. I worked for 8 yearswith special needs children, that is about all i worked. I started becoming forgetful, i was noticing a change in me. So i put in my resignation. oh well, i keep breaking the rule....sorry....... seems as if i cannot keep my mouth closed tonight, or my fingers still........lolol.....simple question and look at me, My doctor finally figured out i have add or adhd, don't remember. Put me on adderall. He said if i didn't getall wiryafter the first pill, to do the same the next day. He gave me six to try. He sadi if i stayed calm i probably had add butif it felt like i stuck my finger ina socket...... theni was not add. What is amazing is tha tfo rthe past 2 months alll i wanted to do was lay around all day, energy for nothing. The first day i took it , after a while i said i feel like doing something didn't feel wiry just calm but wanted to do something. Im suppose to tke it 4 hours apart 3x's per day. I just take it twice a day. it is 20 mlgs. I don't feel so dowdn now, except for a certainsituation going onat home............ sorry guys. I get lonely.......i will try to obey the rules next time and not have so many typo's

I'm sorry I am not much of a help on this one cause I filled out my disability papers and sent them into my state disability office on my own. I didn't hire anyone to help me.
I wish you the best on this. I know to get disability anymore is a real bugger.

Gammie, some posts are just going to be longer. I don't really think that can be avoided. When did you last work? Are you aware that if you haven't worked in a long time, even if it's because of the disability that it could be too late to apply? Let me know how long you worked, full time or part time and when you stopped working and if you stopped at that time due the disability and I can figure out that part of it for you.

It's a two part decision. One based upon amount of work -- the second based upon disability qualifications. That is for SSDI. SSI is a state program and varies from state to state.

PeteA. -- Your brother-in-law may want ot apply the first time on his own. He can do that simply by calling his local social security office and scheduling an appointment or it can now be done online at www.ssa.gov go to apply for disability. Just if you do it online be sure you fill out both parts, there is an application and there is a work/medical history report. They are seperate. It walks you through the process and tells you what documents you need to provide to your local office. If he gets turned down the first time, then he may want to contact an attorney or allsup at www.allsup.com. Good luck to him.

it has been for years, my reason for quiting was not written as a health probllem. I don't knowif i canwork now, I don't think i can.......too much social anxiety. Im ok, my hubby will take care of me. I just thought if he paid it in and , i don't know ithink the ambien is making me sleepy

the info i gave allsup they said i qualified to have someof my meds paid for, i was on so many.seroquel alonewas around300. but i never persued it. we have a 5,000 deductable. We have a health savings plan where my husband put's x amountof money init per week, it is with wells fargo. It is like a debit card, but we have to contribute the 5000 and IF WE meet the deductable everything is 100% paid, we have met it for the past two years. I have had a lot of medical "stuff"....... ssurgeries and my meds ...... im not making any sense , am i, bless you,,,, hugs hugs
