Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

My therapist send me this community as a way of connection. As time has passed I've found myfels withdrawn for the most part. O go to work and function there, and then I go home and withdraw.
I am diagnosed bipolar II with an anxiety disorder. I noticed a district difference in myself from precocid to now. Before while I was full of anxiety I was social, curious, thirsty for knowledge. Now it takes everything to leave the comfor of my bubble even when I think the loneliness will kill me.
A couple weeks ago I had a major up swing . I was up for 4 days, feeling invincible, everything felt amazing all the way down to my skin. And just like every time I have an upswing , it is followed by an emense crash.
The crash is always so devastating. It feels like I'm caught in quicksand, and every minute I am pulled further and further away from feeling good, happy, energetic. Instead it's just empty. And dark, a tremendous want to end it all as it feels so u fair this cycle I must live though.
Trying to explain this to others is defeating. It's hard for them to understand the desperation and they all think I should just check myself in. It feels so alone.
Eventually it mellows into numbness.i feel nothing but the sads. This is where I live 90% or the time the human condition is to get used to pain.
I'm considering TMS therapy. 40% it does nothing, but is love to imagine a normalcy to feeling less heavy all the time. I feel like therapy gets me nowhere when my brain is so inconsistent. I feel lost all of the time. Soon I'll be 40, it feels like such a waste.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I’m currently in an IOP as I had a shift to depression. I’m finally feeling myself again.
Also check out Beautiful Purpose: A Bipolar Community on Facebook. Great support there too and it’s very active.
I'm sorry that you're struggling
Do u mind if I ask if you're seeing a psychiatrist?
Your name speaks to "Hope" Rainbow...
Me, I just Love Kitties <3
I'm 72 and had my first zing to outer Mongolia around 19, then full blown to the moon to the depths of the ocean at 30 when my Dear Sister died at 35...I was 30.
I'm a stop or go...numb to depressed most of the time, and I really have to push myself to get out of the house.
Still, I'm grateful for the dis-ease, as it's brought many wonderful people into my life and taught me a lot about self care, self responsibility. Easy, no, but I'd not trade my shoes for anyone elses either.
This room is pretty slow, but there are caring people here, who Do Get The "it's" of life with bp <3
I used to be bipolar 1 with lots of highs, but I finally got on an A/P and now I'm mostly those lows and anxiety.
I function at work then come home and vegetate, because of the anxiety.
I'm sorry you're going through so much suffering because of it. Maybe that therapy will work - I've never tried it but some have.
We're glad to meet you! Hugs
I live in the low lows most of the time. I function at work and I too vegetate once home. It feels so lonely and the lack of control I have over my mental state really takes its toll on me. I don't want to be here most days, but I long for community at the same time. It's a paradox
I was low for years myself so I understand. These days I am doing much better because I have changed many aspects of my life.
I’d be happy to accept or send a friend request to or from you and we can chat more :)
