You are correct in that a number of religions are against this kind of thing. Judaism iirc say it's a sin to attempt to talk to the dead. I think even Catholicism says no to it.

I believe science hasn't uncovered all there is to know about the human mind (not even a fraction) . I think that psychics are possible. There is much unexplained natural phenomenon. I don't understand religions that say seeking guidance from the dead is evil especially Christians who seek guidance from Jesus(what is praying to Jesus ?) because the bible says Jesus died on the cross for our sins(so Jesus according to the bible is dead).I do believe in a form of telepathy called empaths. The main feature of an empath is the ability to feel the emotions of another by picking up on emotional and physical cues. Everything considered I do believe in the possibility of psychics but I also believe there are charlatans.

I confess to going to a psychic therapist once and having regression therapy. I was so desperate to find an answer as to what was wrong with me. I think that what I 'remembered' was a tv movie!!!!

I agree with hippydan. There are the good and the bad in every profession. Personally I don't believe in demons but I could consider lying and trickery to be "demonic" acts. I'm guessing that you went to see this medium for a reason - and it didn't turn out as you'd hoped, for that I am sorry. I know religious beliefs can be very strong, and often prevent people from being open to other possibilities. Add that to the high charlatan rate among mediums and and the chances of a good outcome for you were small. I hope you can find the answers you were seeking. Hugs

I think if you get the right person yes, I think there are a lot of preying on people out their too. I went to a John Edwards show one time I think that he is fake, he leaves it open to much and cannot pin point down to someone.
