My ex and I have been off and on for 8 months. She finally declared it was over between us for good this time and over the past month she said she didn't want me to contact her.
I picked up another woman the other night. I'm not interested in seeing her again.
I'm going to drop in to see my ex in a couple of days, for her birthday (I sent her an email which I know she gets), but she doesn't return them either.
Not sure what will come of it, I just plan to drop her off some flowers and a birthday card.
I hope I don't tell her anything, or maybe I should, but I don't even know if she will be there anyway.
Any advice?

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Revenge NEVER works out to the good. If you think telling her will make her come back to you, it won't. It will only make her Hate you. If you are thinking of telling her to hurt her, Don't do it. It will only make her Hate you.
On the other hand, she seems to be having her cake and eating it too. If she REALLY wants it to be over she has to give up the good things too - like flowers on her birthday.
You should tell her Okay we are over if that is really what you want. Tell her you are not playing anymore games so she should make sure that is what she wants because you have an opportunity to move on with someone else. Tell her you are prepared to be DONE with it if that is what she really wants.
And mean it.
Move on and be happy. Life is too short. Find someone that would love to get flowers for their birthday.
I'm sorry mrstood. Relationships can be so hard. My heart goes out to you.
I'm just confused, if we never broke up and got back so many times I could understand that it was was over. I mean how do I really know its over?
I thought sleeping with another woman would make me move on, but it hasn't. I still think of my ex everday
It will take you a while to accept it's over and you are simply going to extend that process by going over there.
Only once you've accepted it will things start to come good for you.
IMO you are grasping at straws by trying to take her a birthday gift. Break-ups are hard to accept but inevitable at times.
I wish you peace, love and happiness in future relationships.
