Try Omega 3 fish oil pills. You can get them resoanble cheap over the counter at many places. Ive seen them as cheap as 4 US dollars in ALDIs of all places and some hospitals have programs set up for people who can't afford meds. Just go into the hospital and ask them NOT sure which department to go to but its worth a shot. Hope all works out for you!!

Some doctors or mental health clinics provide charity care services and that means you can receive care on a sliding fee scale based upon your income. Also, if you prescribed a mediciation you can't afford or you don't have health insurance that will pay for your prescriptions, google patient assistance programs for that medication. There may be one out there. Most assistance programs that I have looked at say you qualify for medication assistance as long as your income is not more than 200% the low income level. Also, your doctor may be able to provide you samples. There are also many older medications that are available at reasonable prices. Both Wal-mart and Kroger have a $4 prescription list.

Talk to your pdoc about samples. Talk to pdoc about drug companies that do tests and surveys. Get medicine free. Unfortunately this is America, and it is heart breaking. Stay strong.

Call the Patient Assistance Program. 1-888-477-2669. It will give you names of drug companies, ect. where you can get free medicines.

I understand Insanityx2. I got really frustrated with the Astra/Zeneca Drug company (now called "AZand me") before I got my seroquel for just $25.00. They want everything but your first born son. Hang in there. After talking with A LOT of different people you will finally get on a drug companies program.

Target has $4 prescriptions too, plus about every 3 weeks they put out coupons in the sunday paper for a free $10 giftcard with a new or transferred prescription...a lot of the time I end up making $$$....I just end up transferring my Rx back and forth so that I can take advantage of the gift card deals...now I'm going to transfer one of my Rx to Rite Aid b/c they have a $30 gc deal in their flier this week and they match target prices....so I'll make $20 or so on that deal...then I'll transfer that Rx back to target next month and get another GC...you can transfer to CVS and get gift cards that way, too, but CVS drug prices are not good at all...Occasionally you can get a coupon for a gift card for a transferred prescription from walgreens that will print out at the register but they are few and far between (I was lucky enough to get one)....

My doctor also gives me samples. If your doctor refuses, find another doctor.

i know that some of the churches in my area have clinics that work on sliding scales even foe mental health or you could utilize the mental health unit in your area they take awhile to get into because of the overload they are usually state run but they usually have good facilities once your a patient
