Can I handle studying abroad ?

I have the opportunity to get my masters degree from Milan in Italy .The university itself is quite prestigious and I could actually get a great education .
The thing is : I'll be studying for a year and a half away from home and my country.
I don't know where I will get my meds, can I even handle the pressure of a new place , new people ,new language and the stress of studying ?
It's a great opportunity, not just professional wise but also personal wise since travelling makes you grow as a person and I need that .

download Babel or Babbel and start learning the language as Tommy said and you;ll be right at home - italy is fabulous - you'll love it - you only live once - seize the day and all that and you can always buy a return ticket!! we'll always only be a keystroke away no matter where you are in the world so you'll still have your DS family with you wherever you go. think hard about it and weigh up the pros and cons and go with your gut - feel the fear and do it anyway as they say!!!! you go girl...hugs

you may find it easier to get medical care in Milan as it's part of the EU.

I would think you would be covered by the Italian health service and that would be accessed via the universities medical student services

Yes! I encourage you to try it! I've never spent more than five months at one time abroad, but I always reflect on those opportunities with so much positivity. I communicated with my psychiatrist back home over email. I wish you well.
