Can cold meds induce a hypo/mania?

I've been taking alkaseltzer sinus meds for a cold that I have and they make me feel weird. Pressurized speech, mild euphoria, more talkative and friendly than usual, irritable, wired, distracted.  Is this a possible hypo brought on from something in the cold meds? Or just coincidence?

I would ask your pharmacist if there are any drug interactions with your medications with that medicine it is possible you are not suppose to take it with the meds you are taking. some over the counter medicines can interact with your psych meds.

Here are the side effects for Phenylephrine HCI, the active ingredient in that sinus med. I don't remember what meds you're on so I couldn't look up your particular drug interactions.

Nervous system: Headache, dizziness, nervousness, restlessness, tremor, insomnia, convulsions, and central nervous system depression.

Cardiovascular System: Palpitations, arrhythmia's, and cardiovascular collapse with hypo-tension.

Psychiatric: Hallucinations, fear, and anxiety

Gastrointestinal System: nausea.

Respiratory System: Breathing difficulty or labored breathing.

General: Pallor and weakness and fatigue.

I have never had an issue with them. An I did ask my pharmacist if cold meds would interact with my meds. I guess it depends on what you are taking and what cold meds you choose.

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
