I think I should be able to put restriction on my fiances game time.
I only say this because how he gets when he plays certain games.
CALL OF DUTY- Its a great game. When Played by anyone else. I enjoy watching it being played. By anyone else.
Him- He screams at it.
Not sure if this is anxiety, but I feel so tense right now, my back and neck hurts. He started his flipping out screaming ( I may be scarred from past events, so I get all shaky and nervous when he acts that way)
So then, he notice I was getting scared, and he screamed at me.
" If your going to freak out, I'll give you a reason to freak out."
UGH, I wasn't even freaking out. I was just getting antsy and I was going to leave the room until he cooled down and get a drink til he was okay again.
I really hate him playing that game, and its the only game he plays all year around until the new COD comes out.
Why did he have to finish Skyrim. that was a nice game that did not inspire fits of rage in him.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Well, good morning to you!Today is National Roller Coaster Day. Are any of you going? It's also National Tell-A-Joke Day! Come up with some and share!I'm not bright with jokes these days, but I'll start:"Today I ordered a chicken and an egg from Amazon...I'll let you know." :D

That reminded me of when my Dad used to say if your going to cry I'll really give you something to cry about. Hope your night gets better.
((Hugs))
I would be worried if I were you. If he gets that worked up over a video game just imagine what he will do if something real happens.
My dad used to say "if you're going to cry I'll give you something to cry for" and he sure did... please be careful of this kind of temper Fairy...xo
Plus the language and attitude are less to be desired. But I look at it as his outlet. Some men use a punching bag, some men curse and yell at their tv.
It makes me nervous as well, but that is my insecurity because I'm used to an angry man being a scary man. My father used to say, "Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about" and then beat us. THAT is abusive. It was a verbal threat and I hope your fiance never follows through.
I'm trying a "night off xbox" every week with my husband. That way I can get him to myself instead of sitting there while he gets upset at people on the internet.
It's abuse and personally I will not tolerate it. I've cut all those sort of people out of my life finally and my life is peaceful now.
Do it for your mental health and well being. Anger management classes teach self control not more violence. Don't kid your self it's not an outlet, it actually causes them to become more angry instead of calming them down.
It incites more violence not lessening it. Something that provokes anger build their anger up until it gets out of hand. Some one with anger issues needs to level their anger off not play a video game that makes their anger and agression worse.
Not to say no one can play violent video games but most people just play with out getting angry over it. They know it's not real.
Please face reality and not make excuses. You don't want to be an object of abuse.
I don't have to imagine Doorknob. I already know. Lucky-- He changed somewhat.
Every night is xbox night. LOL for him. I got my computer and most the day- I am too busy with my son to care.
Also I think there should be a safety word... like something you could say to objectively let him know it's just time to walk away. And he CAN"T be allowed to get mad at you for saying it!
I'm thinking of trying that with my husband. I'm presenting the idea as a mutual thing. If I'm getting crazy about something he can tell me to reset or whatever and I have to just do it and stop fighting and take a break.. and I can't get mad or offended if he tells it to me.
I think we can all take things to extremes, and if we can trust our partners we can help each other redirect when needed. They key is trust... not abuse.
W/e right.
I tend to read alot in the bedroom too.
My fiance isnt the type of man that I can suggest anything too. Lol.
Did you read what you just wrote?
"My fiance isn't the type of man I can suggest anything to."
Oh honey, if you were my daughter, I'd say "Sweetheart ..... see what's there to be seen!"
I don't mean to butt into your business but you sound pretty powerless in your relationship and that's not a good foundation for marriage at all. Be careful, darling.
( Yeah, I finally was able to leave him with 1200 I saved and 580 of a paid check and my mother took the 1200 as a rent payment to move in, for her basement, and I am rambling. No one wants to hear this crap LOL hahhahahahaa,
I am happy now, thats what matter. Just wish this game didn't exist. Or he didn't play it every damn night.
My oldest son is the loudest and personally it makes me a nervous wreck too....I can't stand it and will tell them if that is how they are going to act it's going off!! I think video games are downright evil!!! And I mean that...they make people lazy, mean, lazy, lazy and lazy!!!!
