If you have been drinking caffeine for a long time, you can get withdrawal effects going off of it. If it's a recent thing, perhaps you could switch to decaf. If you have been on it for a long time it's best to go off of it slowly. Remind yourself of the negatives like your heart racing to keep you motivated to stop. Best wishes

That sounds like an addiction..

I switched to black teas and have chai and london fog lattes. Then only had coffee occasionally. If it is a energy drink and soda kind of thing Maybe switch to a cleaner version of that w/ no sugar to cut off that addiction to sugar and do only like 1/2 a serving only for the day cause it is all you should need. Then maybe switch down to coffee if that is your thing then down to tea. Basically you can't cold turkey. If you slowly tapper down little by little you will be okay. I am not sure cause everyone is different but, when I am in a high manic phase I can go without caffeine on a significant level which is a bit helpful to lower it a little less. It is best to talk with a professional though at the end of the day. Those are just some ideas. I have had to really cut down my caffeine intake with my bipolar or it sends me into breakdowns and makes me really shaky and irritable. I can only do 1 cup of coffee a day or 1 Tea Latte a day ( occasionally 2 cups of tea during depressive episodes). You can do this! You just gotta find a starting point and make a plan. It is not too bad at all.

If it is energy drink and sugar then I would do G-fuel and only 1/2 a serving it is really clean and no sugar so it can help with that aspect and you would need only that serving for the day. I

I had a caffeine problem 2-3 years ago. I limited myself to one cup of coffee in the morning and no caffeine past 2pm. It took a couple weeks but I finally was able to fall asleep easier at night. I still watch my caffeine intake but I’m not as strict. If we go out to dinner for example I’ll have a soda or tea but for the most part I try to drink mostly water.

I bought a stovetop espresso maker and since then, I have my morning ritual of one cup then im done. If you make a pot of coffee you will keep drinking, at least that’s how I used to function.

I would stop.... Don't have all of the caffeine around if that's what you need to do..... It can cause a great deal of anxiety for you as well as sleep problems.. Big hug....xo

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
