Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
If you want to create a group for your state, but don't know how to get it started, I would be happy to start up a group for your state (get it off the ground) and hand the reins over to you.

Is it a human rights group or a suuport group. I live in Mass. where there are tons of services, clubhouses etc., but I've never heard of that.

The goal I had in mind was a group for BPers in the same state to get together and make eventual plans for big meetups, like at car shows or movie theaters or something.

yeah I tried to start a support group,but it just didn't work out well. I didn't have the networking skills. And there is a support group that I sometimes go to, but it's kind of a downer. Everyone's always so depressed. and I sympathize, but I think it would be interesting to know people living with all different levels of bipolar. Just don't know where to fond them
