I started working as a cashier at Target a couple of months ago and was working 20 hours a week and doing well. With the holidays here my supervisor scheduled me to work 30 hours this week and 101/4 hours from 11:45 last night to 10:00 this morning. I really though I was going to have a breakdown. I haven't felt that out of control in yrs since I stopped working and got on the right meds. I talked to Holly about not scheduling but 20 hrs but she said I have to work more hours during the holidays.
They don't know I'm on disability but I'm going to talk to HR this week and tell them and hope I don't lose my job. I didn't want to have to tell them, but I'm going to have to . What do you think I should say and/or do?
When I was hired I told them I could only work 20 hours so it's not like I didn't tell them. They hired me anyway.
I'm really upset about this.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Yep, I worked years in retail, and Black Friday is enough to put down even a nornmal person.
Talk to your HR , be open about your situation
And good luck, I hope they keep you on.
Sleep is one of the most important things in controlling BP...If you aren't comfortable talking to HR.. perhaps you could get a note from your doctor saying you can't work nights for medical reasons...
They should support you though.. if they don't support your wellness.. I would say they're open to discrimination.... big hug for you.. I hope today is a better day..x
