Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
When I was pregnangt I went off of my medication and had a good experience both times. I would talk to the baby and it gave me comfort.
Maybe if you are not walking or doing some form of exercise like it you could start and it would get you out of the house everyday plus be healthy for you and the baby.
Good luck!
In all honesty, I would personally go off the meds since they don't seem to be doing you much good right now anyway. It might be your pdoc's medical opinion for you to stay medicated...but it's just that....an opinion. I'd get a 2nd one if you plan to stay on meds.
As for your symptoms, blood tests can't always show if there's a problem. I would think it might be the combination of having BP and being pregnant. Is the anxiety about anything in particular? Is there any pattern to the anxiety? Are you able to get done the things that need to be done? I'm reaching, I have no idea what it's like to be pregnant w/ BP. But I'll help if I can.
The anxiety is coming from my boyfreind. He is a go getter. Now that I have been sick, depressed and anxious I feel like he doesnt respect me. He just wants me to get up and make myself do things.
If you can make it through your pregnancy without the meds, you should do it.
Best of luck to you
Maybe your meds are not really helping you though.
I don't know, sorry. I went off my meds, but was very active... swimming, hiking, yoga, etc. I did very well with it.
