It'd be a cool change from the hum-drum of grueling recovery, I think.

Hard to compile a list. Seems like there are different people with their different depression. I don't know how to word my thought.
I got to see NIN years ago. I had just missed their tour with Crystal Castles as the opening act. I was pissed when I heard Crystal Castles wouldn't be opening for them.
And isn't the other one the song that goes (I wrote it down in my journal I;m flipping frantically to find it) "There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes. Jesus Christ died for nothin' I suppose" is that it?? Sorry it took so long I have a lot of journals because I write and draw frantically all day

It never matters what mood I'm in, I will listen to blues. Not many know good blues. If you want some good blues to start out, I'll recommend a few artists:

My music collection ranges though. I like a little of everything. From Beethoven to Kid Cudi to Daft Punk to Matt and Kim, Lorde, Marylin Manson, Bluegrass music (I have to keep a little of the Kentucky culture close to me). Blondie, I was raised on Elton John, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd. And then there's U.N.K.L.E to Moby to Oasis to 1200 micrograms and Infected Mushroom. And then I need my Myrle Haggard (SENIOR) and older country musicians. Then there's Massive attack...it goes on and on..
About the only music I don't like is Christian pop/rock/whatever and Christmas music. Country music I'm not too keen on UNLESS it's older folks with older songs that are actual country. The railroads, the jails, the lost loves, and not about putting on your cowboy boots and scooting around in your pick-up truck. "The south will rise again" and "I'm so proud to be southern" shit. And I am. Kentucky. I love it, I love that I was born and raised in the backwoods, but I'm not about to write a song about it unless It's done John Prine or you know, an actual written song.
If you ever get bored with music, come to me. Music, movies, and art are my trivial obsessions. I'm an artist. Sometime I may trust someone enough to show my stuff. I'd been published twice, going for a book cover now. But music is a wonderful thing. I learned flute and saxophone. I learned Saxophone just so I could be in Jazz Band in high school. I played Jazz flue along with it.
I don't know why I went on such a rant. But if you're interested, I used to go to concerts all the time. ALL the time.

My dad's a musician actually and would probably know more about that- he always listened to way older stuff and for me it was just kind of like, yuck. Dx But I never spend a lot of time with him so.
Probably doesn't help that I live in Georgia and so the rednecks here like ~cuuuuntreea, and having listened to it not by choice has caused all country music to leave a sour taste in my mouth. But the stuff you're talking about seems pretty tolerable, and if I can get 'into' some kind of country music/bluegrass and jazz or blues, I'll have successfully learned to appreciate every music genre I can think of. xD I'd be grateful if anyone could do that for me someday.
