Bipolar II Disorder

Being in a hypomanic state for weeks with extreme insomnia, loss of appetite and impulsive decisions is so hard. Has anyone else felt like this? What are some things you did that helped?

Yup. Once I realize I am hypomanic I give it a few days depending on the severity then I call my psychiatrist. He adjusts my meds and I come back down in a couple days. I work very closely with my psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for 8 years knows me well.

Medication was the only thing that worked for me

I was put on one of the old anti psychotics for a little while Perphenazine with Cogentin to help with any side effects and in worked within a few days with no ill effects

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
