I believe that the highest dose for Prozac is around 60-80 mg. It has seemed to work for me so far, also it's really really cheap and actually covered by my med insurance, I would talk to your doc about upping the dose. Hope this helps! Sorry to hear you are struggling! HUGS!

Max dose recommended is 80mg but my doc told me if it works initially and then stops it's not the right one.....

I take 60mg of prozac. It helps most of the time. Good luck :)

its sad that your struggling but its nice for me to know im not the only person struggling on my med hunt that heaps of other people around the world are in exactly the same position that i am in. Trial and Error meds and its so frustrating cuz we all just want the drs to give us one drugs and bang that be the answer instead of buying the whole chemist to find one that does. cheer up. :)

I am not able to take prozac as it will throw me into a mania which of course will turn into a depression. I used to like taking it as it did help with the depression in general but have to admit since quitting it I don't have nearly the mania's I used to.

That is actually one of the drugs I have not been on. I have been on just about every one of them at some time or another but have never had an experince with that one. I do hope you feel better or get some help pretty soon.
