Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Try to pick a hobby, something relatively doable and start in on it! Good luck :)
i try to break the routine in little ways at first, just take a walk or turn off the tube or the computer.
i spend some of my bored time doing that.
I have hobbies like drawing, writing, signing (can practice for band practice lol)...But it's just a matter of minutes before I decide I'm done. Can never stick to one activity yanno?
I am bored but I think my reclusiveness and boredom are due more to my relentless depression than anything else. I don't enjoy most of the things I used to and I hate that. Hopefully my new med I start in 3 weeks will help immensely. I want out of this hell.
I think that when we get in the "same" routine, we bind ourselves to a life with no real passion or reason to live each day. Having a reason to "get up" in the morning helps motivate us.
Have you tried taking any classes or volunteering? Anything to get you out of the house. I used to find that the more I stayed in the house and to myself, the more I isolated. The more I isolated, the worse I felt.
If you like to read, maybe join a book club? Make it a point to get outside in the fresh air everyday and to accomplish one thing each day that is different than the day before.
It is all building on your life. Set small goals and keep looking forward...........xo
Most things require money I dont have and find hard to acquire. To be able to do these activities alone and not with the help of someone like my bf would be real nice too..
