My brother has ADD. He should be making A's, right now, but he just can't pay attention. He recently switched medications, because the last one he took, though effective, made him vomit every morning. I want to see him graduate like he should, and I'm sure some of you out there have children who have similar problems.
Whenever I take my medication in the hospital, I suffer torturous akathisia. When I take the same dose, outside of the hospital, I do not suffer akathisia.
Options are limited. If the medication was effective but painful, talk to your doctor about switching brand names. With treatment comes time, and an appreciation for it.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It's a matter of balance and how much you can withstand
I found that the side effects were just so harsh I couldn't tolerate them.
After about 7 years , my Pdoc and I finally found a med that treated my symptoms and had low side effects.
Sometimes we just have to accept that no matter which med we take, we may have to experience some type of negative side effects.
Pick the med with the highest reward factor , and the lowest negative impact
Good luck
