So I am wide awake and paranoid. I hate this feeling. I sit here worried that someone is going to break in my house or that they are lurking outside. Anyone else ever feel like this? I have nights like this every couple of months and I always end up staying awake until the sun comes up and then I can relax and sleep. It's a very frustrating feeling not to mention the anxiety all night.

Oh yeah. I have had this a lot. Sorry to hear you're going through that. Ignore the thoughts that people are lurking. They're false alarms.

Talk about something that is concrete but benign, like, how is the weather in Michigan tonight? Here in Seattle, it finally got to where it's not that hot, but earlier today it was muggy and hot. It was really really uncomfortable. It was a "Gold Bond" day, LOL.

If hubby wasent here I would never ever be able to sleep alone. Im always afraid of a break ins. I have hidden things around the house to beat butt with.

I am experiencing something similar to that now. I was on the wrong med. for awhile and yesterday was put back on old med. I'm sorry you feel so bad.

I used to get that feeling a lot. I live with my son, if I lived alone I think I'd still get it more often. I like to go to sleep listening to a book on tape/cd. If I'm feeling spooky, it takes my mind off of it.

You don't have to buy them, you can borrow them from the library.

I have had that miserable fear in the past and its not nice
I had my doc give me a prn years ago for anxiety and it works well in this type of situation

thanks for the comments. Yeah I finally realized it was an anxiety thing so I popped a Klonopin and it helped. At least it knocked me out so I didn't have a choice. Thanks for not making me feel alone on this one!

it will depend on where you live...in a city maybe you could feel this way but where I live we leave our door unlocked all the time and I sleep fine. Took a couple of years to find an anti-psychotic though.
