Just need someone to talk to. Feeling like i want to self harm, struggling with the thought all night. I havent cut since march of 2016 and i dont want to fall back in that trap. My psychiatrist recently took me off latuda and i dont know if thats whats causing my depression. Ive been feeling weepy, wanting to isolate myself, thinking about self harm or taking a lot of pills to knock me out having trouble falling asleep or wanting to sleep all day and obsessing/ having racing thoughts all since Saturday. I havent had depression like this in a year except for some post patrum depression for a couple months after my son was born. But it was mainly just crying spells and feeling weepy ... You know hormones... Im currently on prozac 40 mg and have been stable for a year now but i got triggered by chesters suicide and kind of went into a slump since then.

Also Right now i switched to a new pdoc cuz i moved and he is saying he doesnt think i have bipolar he thinks i have borderline personality disorder. I looked it up and i surely dont! But since Saturday ive been obsessing over my diagnosis and wether i just have MDD or bipolar 2 like i was diagnosed with a year and a half ago, or borderline. When i first went into the hospital in early 2015 i was diagnosed with major depression then in feb 2016 i went to a pdoc and he diagnosed me with bipolar 2 and now in may this doc is saying he thinks borderline. Im so confused!!!

whatever you do, do not stop the fight! The fight to feel better, the fight to be who you are regardless of the depression you are suffering. I have been in that boat, quite recently actually, but remembering your progress in a certain light may help you realize that "progress" is more than just a word. It is a fight. It is a right. It is difficult. It is also inspiring. It takes a great deal of strength. You are stronger than you may feel at this time <3

You are doing so well! Well done! Remember that. You sounds like you're dealing with everything a lot better than you're giving yourself credit for. I'm sorry you have to go through this but know that you are not alone. I'm here to talk if you ever need xx

Sorry you're in the down in the dumps. I don't really know what to say except that from my point of view human beings are quite valuable... you included. I don't know your circumstances but I can certainly hope along with you that your situation improves.

My husband figured out its withdrawal symptoms from coming off latuda. So i called my pdoc today cuz my appt isnt until tuesday and they said to go back on it but the pharmacy needs a auth and its the weekend now. So im stuck till tuesday or atleast monday cuz they dont have an after hours dr.

Dear Angela, I'm so glad your husband figured out you are going through withdrawals! Anytime there is such a dramatic change I always look at med changes first as the potential culprit. Please hang in there, you are really doing so well and have come such a long way. Continue to reach out, and I will send up prayers that you 'hold' until your doc can get your meds straightened out.

Thanks eyeteach... I went to the hospital because i became very suicidal and wasnt eating but i got my meds taken care of now

For me, I took Latuda about three years ago, and while on it, I experienced severe depression. It was extremely bad. I also had painful muscle spasms on it, was obese, and felt extremely tired on it. After I stopped taking the drug, these symptoms went away. My depression wasn't the extreme depression I had while on the Latuda, my weight dropped, I became less tired, and the muscle spasms went away. I hope that your symptoms will improve; my experience is that being on Latuda made me very depressed.

Wow callandraj latuda worked really well for me but i also gained weight on it and was always tired. Just getting off of it was horrible.
