I am anti religion.

I dont deny people a right to have a faith. We all have beliefs but to me unless asked for , they should remain private.

not really "ANTI", just anti-mainstream religion. I really don't like when someone says, I know the truth, the only truth." I don't think anyone on earth knows the real deal. This theory is set aside from my own personal religious preferences.

I say my prayers to God and do a Blessing of sorts to the Goddess every day but I am what is known as a solitary pagan and guess that goes for the part of me that is christian also as I am against organized religion across the board

I've got nothing against religious faith or the higher power of your choice..............but i have absolutely zero tolerance for condescending organized religious groups that have zero tolerance of others right to free belief!

I know plenty of Kool Aid drinkers....politics anyone? I mean really religion, politics these two topics that can never be discussed rationally and all it does all around is piss people off and make people piss on others as well. Everyone has opinions and beliefs but as stated maybe sometimes it's best to just zip it and move on. Just saying.....moving on.

I don't understand why people who do not believe in God waste so much of their time trying to convince others that something they don't believe exists doesn't exist.

Because there are plenty of 'Good Christians' That go out of their way to shove their faith down peoples throat, to the point of terrorism.

I live in a region (the Bible Belt) that deeply believes that revelations is about to come to pass, and it is 'Humanities duty to help make it happen'

Organized religion is the bane of civilization.

It has done its best (since its inception) to keep humanity locked in the ignorance of the Dark Ages.

IMHO churches should be illegal. At the very least, churches shouldn't get any kind of tax break. That would be a great way to reduce their numbers.

I think religion is the biggest cult in the world. I don't mean to offend when I say that, but it is what I strongly believe. It is to easy to twist and manipulate and millions of innocent people die because of it every single day. I can understand there being arguments about the good aspects of it, but for me... innocent people dying is all I can think about :(

But - I do believe in God. I do talk to God. I feel more spiritual I guess. I do not believe we need to be tied to any one type of belief or go to any type of temple to have a relationship with. God is supposedly within us and that is good enough for me.

I think people have that right to follow a religion if that is what they choose and it makes them happy. How ever we choose to have that relationship or non relationship is what is right. I can respect everyone's beliefs as long as they truly believe in them as well =)

Taking on anothers religion in a fight is about the most futile point there is. Wars have been raised since he dawn of time and man figuring there must be more, in the name of religion and to my knowledge none of ended even half way decent fo any of those involved (think about it carefully before you offer a rebuttle)

Give me one example--other than sex abuse scandle--that would justify making all churches illegal.

You are making me very angry. I must call you out But I am called to peace and love. I am called to truth whether you respect my God or not.

I also believe in freedom of religion, press and speech. I respect your right to be a complete idiot. My son's will defend your freedoms and mine. And I will also exercise my free mind and free speech.
