wait zoloft 150 mg? that is. a fuck ton of zoloft to start you on usually they bring you up in intervals of 25 first starting at. 25.

I was put on 100mg straight up.

really? maybe they changed it I started having a bad reaction at 75mg

My bad, I check the bottle it reads 100ml and it steps up to 150 in 7 days

I'm sorry. I'm going through something similar. My doc put me on celexa with no stabilizer and it's got me all fucked up. Talk to your doc and see if maybe you guys can try something else. A good AD for me was Lexapro with being careful of the hypomania of course.

Thanks Ladies.....what I find odd is that I can feel the depression coming on.......today I did not and it really hit me hard.........I have been weeping the entire day.....very odd

sorry it's not kicking in as soon as you'd like it to, but like Evelyn said, it takes a while. The only one I know that works super fast is Paxil but that one can fuck you up. It made me manic.

Didn't read other responses, but you are now on the same "med cocktail" as I am.
Anti-depressants take 6 to 8 weeks to fully work. So if you just started zoloft, you have a long way to go before even suspecting it of causing probs.
It is totally impossible for the zoloft to be bringing you down on day one of taking it.

I don't care what anybody says there's a reason they have the warning label of depression worsening and feeling anxiety, agitated etc on them. You CAN feel those effects immediately, and when those are intolerable there's no way to benefit from the med.

I agree with everything said above and just wanted to add that i've tried a bunch of anti-depressants and only one has been slightly ok but i'm on such a low dose i doubt it even matters. Every time i had some built up in my system i got more depressed instead of less. Something with my chemistry being effed up and not cooperating with the anti-depressants. It is rare but my doc said there are a handful of people who have adverse reactions to anti-depressants.

TML..chocolate releases endorphins in the brain, so yeah, go for it :-) Wishing you stability,

And btw, I take 600 mgs. of Seroquel XR and 200 mgs. of zoloft. Would be happy to discuss side effedts.

I haven't found an antidepressant that agreed with me. They usually make me anxious and manic. I really would be nervous to try another. And I think I've tried them all.

Bobbi3 I would be interested in compare notes.......I found that I could no longer fight this depression that it has "pinned me to the mat" and it need help with anxiety. I'm going home to be with my children next month so I really hope I have a handle on this.
